I've read there's a 5-10 year lag between the time we produce the greenhouse gasses, to the temperature changes. So it will still be a couple of more years before the jump of carbon dioxide is felt literally. 2006 was a record year for the largest deepest ozone hole ever. We still have thin spots around the globe. Click here for our Global warming pages and when you're done here, then go to the next site. Click here for many more global warming articles, I became interested in creating a monitor of the earth when I saw the one thing change that I had thought always remained the same, it was the very shape of our earth. As our ice caps have thinned, our planet, which was slightly flattened at the poles and bulging at the equator, has become a perfectly round globe since 1968. The earth acts much more like a ball of water in space rather than a rock. The tsunami last year in Bangladesh with the earthquake preceeding it, has actually slightly changed the rotation, lengthening our day by a few fractions of a second per day.
